Offshore Skills WeekendsOffshore Skills improvement sails on Aurelius II aimed at previously qualified Competent Crews and Day Skippers will be conducted during the sailing season. This is a great opportunity to build on the course skills and get to know the boat and the area to a greater degree with Iain passing on some of his wealth of sailing and local knowledge.
Skills sails will be offered on a chartered first-come, first-serve basis. Charter prices can be provided by request. Information regarding upcoming skills weekends will be published on the calendar, as well as on the JWCSSC Facebook page. |
Offshore Club SailsWith the longer days, Aurelius II will be available for Club Sailing most Monday afternoons, though the day(s) are subject to change. Club Sails are dependent on weather conditions.
Open to all club members, the club sail is a chance to do anything from a relaxed lazy sail with no fixed agenda to a skills brush up and a harder sail. Precedence will be given to JWC personnel over family members Club sails, weather permitting, will go ahead all the way through the season only breaking for charters, courses or other pre-approved events. There is a nominal charge of NOK 50 for the club sails. Each sail will have an appointed skipper and mate and will coordinate the finer details of the sail. Register your interest and get your name down. Open to single members and family members. If you are interested in being the duty skipper/crew, please e-mail Piers Noble with your availability. |
